i've always been fascinated with how we interact with one another on social media and how let our Internet Voice (or how we look on the internet) have a significant impact on how we view ourselves. if we let it, it becomes a vicious cycle of constantly needing approval from others and being anxious with the next thing to be post to get the most approval and attention.
in any of my work, i use myself and my body as the ultimate vessel because it has always felt the most honest. i can't tell anyone's story better than i can tell my own. making a collection of my snap chats was my way of making a personal commentary on how we let what we pos define us, and ultimately it doesn't matter. if anything, we are complicating the way we communicate and making it harder to have genuine human connection (which we literally need). showing this absurdity and complexity through a montage of a bunch of my snap videos that really have no purpose seemed...appropriate.
